Free Cooling System

Neoteric Digital is Free Cooling System manufacturer in Delhi (NCR), India.

This system is used in telecom shelters and other such unmanned sites to reduce dependence on air-conditioners (AC) to keep the ambient temperature of the site with permissible limits.

How does Free Cooling System work?

The Free Cooling System consists of one or more fan which as installed at a given unmanned site where dependence on AC needs to be reduced while keeping the equipment temperature within prescribed limits. Two temperature sensors are used: one to monitor temperature inside the site and another outside the site. A humidity sensor is also used to keep track of air humidity.

When the outside temperature is within a certain limit as prescribed for the given site and the inside temperature is higher, the fan is turned on drawing cool air from outsite to inside and keeping the site cool. Typically the fan is a multi-speed centrifugal fan If the outside temperature becomes higher than a limit, the fan is turned on.

What happens if temperature of site cannot be controlled by Free Cooling System?

The Free Cooling System is an add-on to existing air-conditioners and aims to reduce the overhead of keeping ACs running all the time. The cost of running ACs is very high, especially when mains power is lost and the site is running on diesel generator (DG). Free Cooling System cannot replace air-conditioners, but it can definitely minimize the use of the same significantly reduce total cost of ownership.
